Coffee Jar Issues
You know when you buy a jar of coffee? And you open the lid and there's a piece of tin foil sealing it at the rim? Well I've realised when I open a jar of coffee I'm always very neat; I run my thumbnail around the edge of the jar rim and make sure I've removed any remaining foil before I pour my first cup. Holly on the other hand takes a different approach, bludgeoning it with her finger, which of course leaves shreds of torn foil handing chaotically from the rim.
The fact that I take the time to peel these remaining bits off for her is perhaps a little obsessive-compulsive. But that I then go on my blog to write about the experience is just plain weird.
So which are you; a neat and tidy foil surgeon, or a bludgeoning maniac?

I must admit Steve I like to remove the foil completely and often use the nail technique you have described above. Any jar of coffee in my house is foil free :)

Definitely the neat and tidy foil surgeon - even when I am desperate for a cup, I'll take the time.

I'm a combination of the two. I bludgeon first, then tidy up.

I am both...i am probably more OCD but i will poke my finger into the foil, and then rip it away. But then i have to clean the edge...

I like to see how many times I can bludgeon without going through the same hole twice, then I tidy up.
I wonder if there is a correlation between this and bread wrapping, hmm interesting survey no?
For example, those who like to do the tidy tidy thing with the coffee, do they fold the bread wrapper neatly in or do they twist and put the sticky bit back on.
Of course there's those who place the loaf facing upwards on the floor and then hold the end and run round the bread in circles to close. Those people shouldn't post here...

@Jill: I'm a messy bread wrapper actually - very lazy. I upturn the bread and use the weight of the loaf to keep the packet sealed :)

Funny enough, I can be both at any given time - all depending on my thought process and how the day is treating me. I like to keep people on their toes. :)
